Tokyo’s Nightlife Hyperpop Girl - DJ N² (Naoka)

For the past few years, DJ N² or Naoka has been transforming the Tokyo club scene, giving it an infusion of cybernetic hyperpop, Y2K, and the confidence to be yourself.

At the forefront of this cultural shift is her collective Kyun Desu, where Naoka and friends curate parties, offering Tokyo’s youth a sanctuary, a place to break free from the grind of daily life and the uncompromising demands of work and society.

Kyun Desu was born from a simple yet powerful goal: to create a space where people can unapologetically be themselves. It’s a rebellion against the need to ‘hide’ behind societal norms—a place where restraints dissolve. No dress codes, no rules—just pure, matching energy.

Naoka’s hyperpop-driven sets are starting to make waves overseas as well, as she’s invited to DJ in cities all around the world, building cultural bridges far beyond Tokyo’s borders.

Our team took Naoka out of the nightlife for a day, following her energy through the streets of Tokyo.
