Natalia Andrea Pérez Hernández

Fashion Editor

Bogota-born and Barcelona-based, Natalia majored in fashion design but directed her creativity, knowledge, and love for fashion towards the written expression. This love comes from perceiving the discipline as something more than the mere aesthetic and giving it the place and importance sometimes we fail to notice as a reflection of our history and of who we are.

Online Content Editor and Writer of Metal Magazine, Natalia has covered relevant fashion weeks in cities like Prague, Copenhagen, Porto, Riga, or Tbilisi, interviewed important names in the industry like Glenn Martens or Robert Wun, and participated as part of the jury at the Benext Fashion Design Contest in Tbilisi and the Belgian Fashion Awards.

Japanese fashion is one of a kind, and Natalia is aware of that. Names like Yohji Yamamoto, Jun Takahashi, and Issey Miyake are very high on her list of her most beloved creators, and she wishes the audience to recognise, learn, and appreciate what this side of the world has to offer. Yokogao is the perfect vessel to transfer this love and understanding, open conversations, and give the spotlight to those who deserve it.

Aside from fashion, music and any form of artistic expression are her passions, and Japan has birthed some of the most important influences of her life. Whether it's her favourite book, anime, song, or painter, it's most likely that the mind behind it was a Japanese one, not intentionally but by chance or destiny. In Yokogao, she will write about them, hoping that you will find something you will love just as much.
